New in version 1.2 ================== * Version 1.2 introduces a major new search tool that makes it possible to create time-intervals for each instrument where anything will match in the database. This greatly expands the capability of GD to do "fuzzy" matches and also solves the problem of matching flams and echoes. See the "Don't Care Regions" section in the Operation Manual. * Bar Marker edit is now enabled. Previously Markers were fixed, but they can now be picked up and moved around.See the "Edit Bar Markers" section in the Operation Manual. * Improved analysis and detection. We are always working on getting our recognition engine to be the best that it can be and this release has a significantly improved version. Reanalyze at your discretion. Bug fixes --------- * The "Intrument Mute", enabled for the Snare or Kick Instrument track, sometimes didn't do what you'd think it would do when searching. That has been fixed: it will now always let everything through for that instrument in your search. * v 1.2.b. Fixed bug in Folder Browse from right-clicking Results paths. Sometimes Play would get stuck on one file irrespective of what was selected. New in version 1.1 =================== * Improved analysis and detection engine. In particular, we have paid special attention to loops with high compression, distortion and 'unusual' drum sounds. If you have a version earlier than 1.0c it is strongly recommended that you re-analyze all your loops. * Live Midi input. You can now record patterns through Midi. * Choose which Midi channels the analysis will look at and include in the database. * Folder browser for search results. You can now open a browser for a loop-folder with a single right-click in the "Search Result" window. This makes it quick and easy to instantly audition all the loops in the folder of the onethat caught your interest. You can have as many of these open as you want at any given time. Maintenance releases for 1.1 (b-c) ---------------------------------- * Fixed a problem with the database indexing algorithm. Previously, it could sometimes skip potential candidates. * Fixed a bug in the analysis which could cause the program to crash. * Improved consistency check of the database. * Fixed a bug in loading Midi or Pattern files that could cause erratic displays in the editor. Windows 7 issues ================= These are known problems we are currently working on to fix. * When switching audio drivers, it it sometimes necessary to exit the program and relaunch for the drivers to be initialized properly. * Midi live input can have a noticable latency on some systems.
